Well it will be interesting to see how this develops. I would think the employer would be more at fault than the home owner, but there are a lot of questions that would filter into that.

Is there a policy at the work place that emphasizes safety on deliveries?
Has any accidents happened like this before at your work place?
Could you have reasonably made two trips from your car to the door and minimized the risk? (I am assuming you drove to the house)
Was an ambulance called and if not is it possible you aggravated the injury by driving yourself somewhere?

Good luck. I know that must be super painful.
