The team's best hope is for Haith to get shitcanned while leaving something in the cupboard for the next guy, because I don't know if he'll ever win a tournament game here.
What makes you say that about Williams?

8 points, 5 boards, 3 blocks today, and had a couple of nice back-to-basket moves. He's averaging 7 points and 7 boards a game as a true freshman. Foul trouble is an issue, but I'm excited about this future and his potential.

He has to get stronger and adjust to playing other guys that are as big/athletic as he is, but that's not an uncommon trait for freshmen.

I also liked what they got out of Torren Jones today and of late. Really could see him developing into a Patrick Young (FL) type player down the road. Just a big, strong, beast who gives a lot of effort. Liked the touch from the FT stripe, too. More PT for him, please.

I won't cry over Brown or Ross being gone, either, though.

Here's the real question for the 13-14 season: Does Haith have the intelligence/guts to realize his best lineup involves Ross playing the 4, with Clark, Clarkson and Brown on the floor?

It wouldn't be as effective against teams that have a 4 who could iso Ross and punish him on the blocks, but that is by far Missouri's most effective offensive unit, especially against zone defense.

But... I feel much more comfortable giving 15 minutes a game to Shane Rector than in giving that time to Post or Rosburg (who is, sorry, just not athletic enough to be more than a role player on a major conference team). Especially if Tony Criswell - the only post with any faceup ability - is not going to be a factor.

Running the pick and roll with Ross - who certainly has the body to set effective screens and would LOVE the idea of popping out to the 3-point arc, let's be honest - would prevent teams from just completely ignoring the roll action, like they can when JW3, Post, Rosburg or Jones is setting the screen.

Also like the idea of taking Clarkson off the ball and having him be the player who flashes to the high post against the 23 zone teams have been using against Mizzou. He's going to draw so much attention in that spot, it opens things up considerably.
