If you can afford to spend that extra money upfront, there really is no reason to own both unless there are exclusives you just absolutely must play, but there's usually much better alternatives that are similar to that game on PC.

I plan on buying a PS4 anyway.
And if your argument hinges on saying "you don't really want to play game X - there's a game just like it on PC that's better" you don't have much of an argument.
The simple fact is that there are games that only exist on console and some that only exist on PC. If I want to play all of them, and not just some cheap facsimile, I should own both.
And I do own both.
