Back in HS when I was a "semi-pro" COD 1 player I used 2 headphones. 1 that had really good sound and then I would wrap a cheap one with a mic on it around my neck. It was a lot cheaper than buying a single headset that had quality sound.
Right now I use
http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD-...070505&sr=1-40 just for sound and all I would need would be a mic to put around my neck and all for <$100 compared to $130+ for a good gaming headset.
