Idk, with the new CBA, should teams really care so much about which positions to draft high anymore (outside of the obvious K/P)?
Take this hypothetical situation: Say you have the #1 overall pick and you know who out of the entire draft class is going to become a perennial All-pro at a given position, lets say Safety to keep it more relevant, but you need a LT and you have a time machine so you know that the best LT available in the draft will only end up being a solid but unspectacular LT for the rest of his career (he'll make a few pro-bowls and maybe one All-pro). Would you take that All-Pro and "less important" safety or settle for the "more important" LT player?
After what happened to the secondary/defense against the Colts, I would take Eric Reid/Lotulelei/Richardson in a heartbeat. We would have been fine rolling with Donald and Albert on the OL.
