The truth is KU & Duke have separated themselves from the pack but that margin is extremely narrow. Extremely. And winning the Big 12 isn't the signature achievement that Coach K's 11 Final Fours are, or Pitino's 9-0 record IN Sweet 16s is (or whatever the number is) or even Boeheim's 900+ wins.
Self has 2 final fours in 10 years at KU. That rate is lower than Roy and Larry at KU. Even Self admits: "You can't have a great season with a poor March"
