You might consider the Ouya if you're wanting games. They run XBMC about as well as the GBox, and you can play games with it. I've heard there aren't tons of games, and the controller isn't the best. But it's pretty cheap.

I would plAy games on the htpc listed on post 160
Using a pi on tv upstairs is what I thought about also we use the downstairs tv the most as it has our home theater setup. Upstairs is just our bedroom tv.
I think I understand how the pi would access the nas and the htpc, I don't really how the OTA signal from the antenna/dvr function would work
Also am I spending to much on the htpc
I would use it for lite gaming w kids
Bluray playback/ripping
Audio quality is important downstairs bc of my investment/hobby
W audio equipment and play will a lot of music on it
