What I learned from the opening ceremony:
Russia listens to depressing music. Music that reminds you of duty and country. I'm sure the average Russian teenager is listening to something more modern than we heard tonight, but I'm gonna go ahead and guess it's depressing, too.
The President of China showed up. USA brought sweaters. I know we're pissed at them or something, but how about being polite and make an appearance just to not be a dick about things.
