Even while missing 3 games and going through a month long shooting slump before that, Smart has been the best player statistically in the conference that isn't out of KU (which puts him 4th in the B12 behind Wiggins, Embiid, and Ellis).

With Smart, they lost @OU by 12, without him they lost to OU by 3. With Smart, they lost to Baylor by 6, without him they lost @Baylor by 6 in OT. Yeah, they were terrible at Texas... so was Kansas.
In the 4 games before the suspension, they lost by an average of 76-70 (not including the 3 OTs against ISU)... 78-69 in the 3 games since.
Small sample sizes, etc; but it really hasn't made much of a difference. Yeah, he ends up with 15+ points because he hits 10 FTs a game or whatever, but as it's been pointed out in the past, he also takes terrible shots and costs his team possessions. It's not like they missed that 3/14 and 0/7 effort from the first time he played Baylor.
