Glad you took my advice on buying something nice. Although I was thinking steak dinner or TV or something. I'm not buying any damn running shoes as a reward
As a word to the wise, you can get a lot if repetitive stress problems if you only run. I ran cross country in high school and put on some weight in college so I ran to get it off and shin splints about killed my ass. Now I have plantar fasciitis also. It's probably just my body being a used up piece of shit, but I had problems when I ran hard every day. Let me know if you have some problems. I've tried most everything in the book.

Sore muscles - OK
Joint/soft tissue/structural pain - pay attention.
