In the Chiefs' final 8 games, 2 of them were blowouts where the game was over in the 4th (1 of those games, Dex had a career day). 1 of them was a Colts blowout where the game was over in the Chiefs' final drive. So that leaves 5 games where the game was close in the 4th quarter:
- Buffalo - Dex does nothing
- Denver - http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-h...-18-yard-catch - 18 yard catch on a critical 4th quarter drive with 3:30 to go. Terrific back shoulder catch
- San Diego - 11 yard gainer putting the ball on the 5 yard line with 1:30 minutes to go (setting up Bowe TD)
- Denver (game 2) - 28 yard pass and diving catch (http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-h...ctacular-catch) with about 2 minutes left on a critical drive
- In the final drive of the game against San Diego game 2, he had a 14 yard gainer to set up a first down with 3:30 minutes to go
So out of those 5 games, in 4 of those games he had a first down in the most important drive of the game. All of them were over 10 yards. 2 of them were circus catches.
No, he was not the elusive YAC receiver we thought he was. But he became a really solid possession receiver who came up really, really big in some big situations late in the season.
