I find road courses to be incredibly exciting - So, I would go to Watkins Glen.
Pocono has exciting restarts, but after that, cars become too strung out around the track.
Many NASCAR fans find Michigan and Indianapolis incredibly dull because of their lack of action. Although, Indianapolis Motor Speedway is one of the great icons in motorsports. |
I've been to the July Daytona race twice (two years prior to last year), absolutely incredible. Had awesome seats too, on the upper level a couple rows up right on the start/finish line. I don't think there's anything that can top that. Also been to Chicagoland a few times, but it's just a standard 1.5 mile race, still a great experience (and it helps that 2 of the 3 races I went to Carl was right up there).
The top tracks I want to go to are the three short tracks. Those are always the most exciting to me besides Daytona an Dega.
My thinking on Pocono and Michigan were that I'd be able to see most of the action. Not denying that Watkins Glen is a hell of a race, but wouldn't it be better to watch that on TV since you couldn't see that much of the track?
