Call Manager is Cisco's Voice product. People like to hate cisco like they hate Apple and Microsoft.
Basically Cisco is the 800lb gorilla in the networking work, and branching out, so it's easy to hate on them.
No matter what widget Cisco has, some one-widget-wonder has a widget that's "better". It may be the only widget they make, it may not work with anything else in the room (not much beyond a link light), but they think it's better and love to hate on Cisco.
And it's all great press for Cisco as everybody does everything they can to be better than Cisco.
Yawn....
