Take lettuce.
Tried to eat a taco with shredded lettuce. The fact it felt like I was chewing plastic wrap instantly provokes the need for me to hurl. Same goes with onions.
Only time I've ever ate lettuce and tomato without incident is when I was blackout drunk and devoured a club sandwich in Mexico.
