I don't think you understand it's Iowa State we're talking about.

He's been building the program with a bunch of transfers and his coaching ability. Both of which are respectable. You aren't going to challenge KU for top of the B12 any time soon. You can't even beat out UNLV for a top prospect. The best kids don't want to go to Iowa State out of high school. Can you blame them?
That might change over the course of the next decade if Hoiberg builds up that program substantially more and doesn't bolt for a shinier NCAA or NBA job. Your recruiting class for next year isn't even in the Top 40. Transfers are good for the short term, but Fred is going to have to get some blue chip players in there sooner or later if you plan on actually winning this league and besting KU.
You guys have a good thing going right now, but your commitment to the concept that ISU is going to propel to the top of the B12 after this good year you've had is hilarious.
