it seems to be, unless the police are really taking their time in the investigation. Sounds like Carpenter jumped ahead with like 5th-party-hearsay.
He needs to keep his head down and make it through this year without incident... he's a millionaire come this time next year if he can do that.
I don't have an issue with him smoking up, other than doing it somewhere other than his home/residence. Driving around while doing that is dumb, but I have no moral issue with it (and don't think it's a sign of bad character or anything).
The arrest earlier this year sounds like a case of jumping in a friend's car and not knowing the contents of the vehicle.
