JK, but no doubt the "braking" motion is extremely hard on the knee ligaments. Plus you were probably flat landing it for training, these young dumbasses are riding these around hilly terrain like Denver/SF everyday.

I don't think I am a hipster? We are talking late 80's Early 90's. And yes we were flat landing it, on County Rds. here in Iowa. It would help your spin and technique. In addition there was no need for speed during the off season. Plus in early spring we would do some Velodrome Racing in Chicago.
