Most definitely. Lawrence was once considered one of the booming towns through the 90's and early 2000's.
You have to have a better local economy and job market for that to sustain. It's basically turned into a hippy bedroom community for Kansas City... that happens to have a college in the middle of it.
Sad, cause that's my home.
