I just rewatched
MS state vs LSU 2013, and Gabe jackson is a mauler.
He is a great run blocker, good on screens...even getting to the second level (suprisingly).
He plays to the whistle and try to pancake people. He did better than I expected as a pass blocker specially when moving guys to the outside and mirroring with a kick-slide. He got beat a couple times with inside moves. Most of the time he got his hands on the defender and they didnt stand a chance.
I still question his ability to thrive in a zone blocking scheme (though he has displayed ability to work a zone), and thrive in an offense that prioritizes the pass. That being said, I think he would be an upgrade for the chiefs and that he can be a very good NFL guard, but would not be the BPA at #23 overall.
