They also sponsor a lot of different races that end in their parking lot, so they have booze for those a lot of times.
It's a social crowd at the gym who are going to drink anyway, so they just provide drinks on occasion if folks want to sit around and shoot the shit for a bit after working out or come back and have a drink before going out for the night.

My gym sells beer & wine. It's sort of a social club as well as a gym. A lot of people show up after work (especially on Fridays), play racquetball or workout, and then have a few beers. I love it.
