I think the thing to remember is that, even if a QB is drafted first overall, the natural and expected outcome is for them to suck. It's just the hardest position in pro sports.
So, expecting a fifth round pick to ever do jack shit is wishful thinking. It can happen, to be sure, but I don't expect anything.
The rejoicing (for me) is that the arrival of Reid and Dorsey was supposed to signal a culture change, where the QB position would not be ignored. It was supposed to be a position that we were drafting at least every other year. That finally started. I'll be even happier in 2016 when we take a guy on day 1 or 2.
