Alex did the same shit in SF.
He wanted more money than they wanted to give him and so they let him hit the market. He ended up signing back to SF for less than he and his agent thought he was worth. Either Alex or his agent have a history of overestimating his market value.
I think his agent wants another cut like he got out of his rookie contract, and that's just not going to happen. If Alex hits the market after the season he's not going to get top flight QB money at 31 years old. The bigger problem is that KC has no plan B unless Bray or Murray turn it up and prove they have some long term value. I think Alex can only improve his value by having an incredible season... but he can do a LOT to lower his value.
