Schlitterbahn cut all sorts of corners, man, in the construction of that park, and also backed out of some of the agreements it made with the county to get the permits and clearance to build the park.
It's not just about using non-union labor that concerns me. It's that they cut corners at every single turn (and were sued over some of those moves).
One of the ways they did that was by bringing in construction crews from Texas that were non-union and highly suspected of being filled with illegal labor.
There are non-union shops in the KC area (Crossland Construction, for example) that could have been employed on the job. At least then you're dealing with locals who are documented on the job site.
