I don't think so. Gust/Jones was an awesome fight that people have been clamoring for a rematch for some time. Jones only wanted DC because he thinks it will be easier fight than Gustafsson and he might be right. I would have preferred to see Cormier/Gust fight and the winner get Jones, but they couldn't keep putting off Gustafsson any longer.
DC is still a very interesting contender, but in no way can it possibly be better. I think it's more of a step sideways which is still far from what you usually get when an injury happens for a ME fight.
