I'm going with a straight Pulp Fiction ticket here. My votes:
#1 - Pulp Fiction (Say what?) - I knew the day would come where I have to decide which of the two Pulp Fiction scenes to pick first, and it's a tough one. They're both fantastic scenes. I pick this one first very narrowly, and primarily because I don't really like the woman's line in the other scene where she says, "I have to pee." I thought that was unnecessary and brought down the scene. I also love Jules' lines in this scene where he says, "Oh, I'm sorry. Did I break your concentration?" followed by "Allow me to retort."
#2 - Pulp Fiction (Diner scene). I feel kind of bad because I labeled this as a breakfast scene, and it probably isn't breakfast. It's a diner scene, but for some reason it looks like the type of diner where you go for breakfast. That aside, I love the wallet line, and I love the Vincent line where he says, "I'll shoot them on general principle." Overall, this is a top-notch scene. Top-notch, mmm-hmm.
#3 - Inglorious Basterds. The painful part of voting this scene #3 is that it's not the best scene in the movie. The introduction of the Bear Jew is a notably better scene in my opinion. But this is still a great scene, so I'll award Tarantino the gold, the silver, and the bronze. Impressive, Quentin. Very impressive.
#4 - Saving Private Ryan. I've said it since Round 1. It's a powerful scene and very well done. But it's not my favorite scene by a long shot. It's disturbing to watch. I don't enjoy watching it. And that's fine, because you shouldn't enjoy watching it. But it causes it to drop seriously on my list of favorite scenes.
#5 - Goodfellas. I've never seen the movie, and I'm surprised that this scene made it this far. But it really is a great scene and it's probably the only scene with Joe Pesci that I've ever enjoyed.
