There are disagreements within well known sects of Christianity over this very thing....
Was Jesus a god? Was he a man? Is he the trinity (father son AND holy spirit?) or is God a Unitarian concept (non divine)etc etc etc
If by divine, you mean being a God...then there is absolutely not agreement on that.
Again, a simple search of this question will lead you to see that some feel he is divine, some feel he was a man....some take his words literally, some figuratively..
Some even (crazily enough!) think Jesus was no more (or less) the son of God than you or me...
SO the ONE thing that makes you a christian I would say is NOT 'believing Christ is divine' but rather following the teachings of Jesus.....as they interpret them.
I think most people would say if you accept that christ died for your sins, thats what would make someone a christian...not some definition of being divine or not....but thats my 2 cents
