You really couldn't even make this stuff up.
But since I'm turning over a new positive leaf since being banned from the game thread--I now see this as an opportunity from some of the extremely talented All-Pro-in-waiting backups assembled by our unimaginably shrewd GM to step in and shine and take us to the Super Bowl.
