Our society tells us that it's unacceptable to beat women, but beating a little girl sends the right message?
What kind of child is so unruly that they are deemed to be deserving of being physically beaten 20 times by the time that they are just nine years old? And wouldn't this then be a direct reflection on your parenting abilities, or a lack thereof, that your child was acting out with such frequency to the point of requiring such a severe punishment?
I would imagine that the threat of violence against a child loses it's impact after a certain amount of applications. To illustrate this, you yourself said that your child actually said she deserved to be physically punished and asked for it. That's a removal of any type of fear of such a perceived corrective action.
