Jesus, no. What is the big ****ing deal with looking like the character? Decent actor? I want someone who is great. Sorry. Looks don't come anywhere close to being as important as talent. Robert Downey Jr. was too old and really didn't resemble Tony Stark to much. Probably the best comic book character casting of all time. Heath Ledger didn't have a single douchey head shot that looked like the Joker, but he ****ing destroyed the part. This match an actor to the look of the comics thing is so ridiculous and has been shown to be worthless time and time again. It goes like this:
1. Write a good script with a strong understanding of the source material.
2. Get a really good actor.
3. Profit.
By the way, even if I gave a shit, Patrick Dempsey doesn't look a damn bit like Dr. Strange other than his graying hair.
Sorry to rant, but this is just something that has bothered me for years.
