Saw the movie last weekend. Thought it was a decent flick but I couldn't get past this one flaw. Been awhile since I have read up on physics and the universe. So maybe one of you smart people could help explain if I am wrong here.
Spoiler!
Basically Coop is falling into the Black Hole. Earlier in the movie they made a big deal about time slowing the closer you get to a black hole when they visited the first planet. However, isn't it widely accepted that at the event horizon time is moving so slow that it basically stops. So for the amount of time that would of passed for him to cross over and get the data he needed to his daughter. Everyone he knew would of been dead and gone long long ago. Just bugged me since they made such a big deal about them fighting against time.
