You want your QB to be able to pass for a lot of yards in a game, but you do not want him to have to pass for a lot of yards in a game.
It is safe to conclude that you want your QB to be able to pile up a lot of passing yards when the need arises and the ability to do that is going to be reflected in his career ypg. There is zero evidence that Alex falls in that category. He has to have an elite defense ala Ravens or Tampa in their SB winning years to have a prayer of winning a SB. We don't have that defense and with the aging of Hali, the aging and injury of DJ and Eric Berry's cancer, we are further from having that kind of defense now than we were a year ago.

You're making my exact argument here. I'm not sure what your point is. Throwing for a ton of yards is not always an indicator of a healthy offense. That's exactly what I'm saying.
