I'd have to go count it up... but if you take something around the top 25 passing seasons of all time, only one of them won a Super Bowl, IIRC. Just like the myth that passing for 400 yards in a game equals a win, when that's not really true at all.

It's a bit much to dismiss a season-long stat like that on the basis of winning a single game, and also to only looking at the #1 yardage QB. I mean, what are the numbers for the top 2 or 3 QBs in a season winning the SB? How about making it to the SB?
Putting up a ton of passing yards usually (but not always) means the team has a pretty good offense. It doesn't say anything about the defense, which is also a pretty big part in making it to and winning a SB.
Eli is isn't a huge yardage guy and he's won 2 SBs. I doubt anyone would want him over Marino or a bunch of other high-yds/no SB win QBs.
