Why not? As if it's improved since he left or was really that much worse prior to his arrival? Washington is one of those weird teams where apparently, things are just destined not to work out well with Snyder.
Honestly, the Bears are stuck with Cutler - might as well try to make the most of it with a guy that drafted Cutler and Marshall. It's not like Shanahan sucks at coaching. It didn't work out in Washington - oh well.
Shanahan had a pretty good team (solid ground game, decent defense) with Jake Plummer in Denver. Can he do that with CHI? Maybe.
