Those people doing the work are not Google employees. They are all contractors..
I had mine installed last wednesday. From what that guy was telling me, there are tons of different contractors and each does something different. Very few Google employees.. Some put the lines in the ground. Different ones do the install in the house. Average about 4-5 installs a day.
My speed is not up there on my internet, but my PC is old though it still gets 1ms ping.
The network box broke after one day. Not mad as every time I call their customer support they have answered within 15 seconds.. They credited me the entire month. They also said all service calls and work to your house is always free. So far great customer service.
I assume their tv offerings and services will get better as time goes..
