The hardball, frenemy negotiating between cocky bastards was pretty close to what I imagine it can be at times... ones eating a hearty breakfast while the other is dealing with his taciturn woman yada yada discussing the fate of empires. But yeah look, at no time was this considered an intimate look at some particular GM, yet it did strike me as a reasonable glimpse into the pressures and vagaries they all face.
Its a really good movie, not great.
THE genre defining football movie hasnt been made yet IMO, baseball has been covered soooooo much better.

I agree with this on all points. I was actually surprised that I enjoyed it.
And I think the baseball thing just works better with movies. Hard to explain what I mean there.
