I ended up buying the Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 VC (their version of IS), and so far couldn't be happier. Very sharp, not aberration as far as I can tell, good color reproduction straight out of the camera. Totally happy with that purchase.
I've got one more I want to buy soon, a 100mm macro. Kind of holding out for the L lens on a refurb, but Canon is currently out of stock.
We're upgrading my wife to a 60D; she's been using the Rebel XT in the earlier post to learn and is really enjoying it, so I want to get her something better. She's getting discouraged comparing the quality of that Rebel to my 6D.  |
