If a Mormon ever knocks on your door during the day and you don't want to talk, politely tell them that you're not interested. Once they are told this, they will say thank you and leave.
These are 19 year old kids who leave their lives for 2 years and pay their way to spread the Gospel. They get spit on, cussed at, and ridiculed, but they follow their heart and serve whatever area they are told. In the process of doing so, they also stress humanitarian work. The elderly guy who lives across the street from me is a devout Catholic, but relies on the Mormon missionaries to do yard work for him.
