Wacha lasted all of five innings, even though the Indians offense wasn't tagging him. Part of that was due to stupid **** Tim Timmons, but it illustrates an important, if tautological, point--starters are better than relievers, which is why they are starters. Get them out of the game ASAP. As soon as we got to their pen, we struck. That's not an accident.
That's why I'd much rather have guys that work and grind out ABs, then hitters who think that just putting the ball in play as soon as possible can yield the best results. The stress of making the pitcher work is incredibly important.

Yep, they need to regress to the mean. Take a few pitches. Make them come back in the strike zone more.
