I got a chance to watch the Senior Pga Championship on Saturday at the Pete Dye course in French Lick, which is 25 minutes from my house.
First off, the course was magnificent. A truly unique place, built on sharp hills in the White River valley. Very tough, with sharp doglegs and small, undulating greens.
Second, Monty looked good. He was in control pretty much the whole time. We sat on 13 tee when he came through, 13 is a 198 yard par 3, and he hit it pretty close.
All in all, it was an awesome experience.
