The problem is that he's going to be extremely susceptible to the kind of pitching you're likely to see in the post-season. Come October, 80% of the pitchers you face are going to be throwing 93 mph or better and most of them will have at least one credible breaking ball they can throw for strike.
Reynolds will absolutely abuse guys with sub-par fastballs or guys that can't command their breaking stuff. You'll face enough of those over 162 games to give yourself respectable counting stats. But you'll be absolutely worthless in the playoffs.
Mostly you just have to hope that the DL time gives Adams some time to re-charge. He's been at his best after breaks or when sporadically used. Perhaps the DL will give him the time to recover that he needs. Then maybe someone can get his ass on a !@#$ing treadmill in the offseason so the poor stamina isn't always a problem.

This point can never be stressed enough. A guy *must* be able to turn on a good fastball in October or he is going to get blown away, because he can't count on facing 4th and 5th starters and mop up guys to boost his #s.
Reynolds will be a little like the Cardinal version of Reggie Sanders --when it comes October, you just hope that he K's instead of GIDP, because he simply does not have the bat or discipline to handle the high, hard stuff.
