Gonzalez is nowhere near the pitcher that Garcia is. There's a good chance that Gonzalez will never approach being as good as Garcia is. Garcia going down for an extended period of time would hurt this team just as badly as Lynn dropping.
Just because we don't trust him to stay healthy doesn't mean we should overlook just how good he can be when he is. Fortunately it sounds like he just suffered cramps and we'll get him back next time out.
The dude has some serious shit. If the Cardinals hope to win a WS, Jaime Garcia will absolutely have to play a key role in it. Garcia can be a top half of the rotation starter and to make up for the loss of a guy like Wainwright, the Cards will simply need to get lucky with him and get a full season.

He is often overlooked due to the inconsistent health issues, but there is no doubt that when he is on he can handle about any lineup. His 2011 game 2 of the series was him at his best, 0 runs 3 hits 7 ks and 1 walk.
