Eh, Adams was actually okay defensively. He was a good leg-bender so he got down low to take hops and was quite good at scoops because of it. He didn't have a lot of range but his first step was pretty good and his hands were surprisingly soft.

He was deceptively solid defensively. He was far better than Craig over there and probably a tick better than Reynolds. Adams was never a defensive liability. Holliday, who's not played IF in nearly 2 decades, most certainly would be.

EDIT: It's not actually been as long as I thought - he played 3b when drafted and played 112 games there as recently as 2000. Yeah, get that man a 1bman's mitt...
