But Smith has to spot the blitz pickup and the hot read. He can't keep double clutching because a guy isn't wide the **** open. He has to open up the offense so the defense isn't crowding the short stuff. His OL end of 2013 was terrible too. PFF will chalk that up to magical blocking improvement, but I don't buy it. Smith's mentality during those games was completely different. The QB absolutely has ability to improve the protection in ways PFF can't see.
