Of course, it did take all of 30 seconds to find 14 examples. Not enough of a chance to worry about.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not living in terror that the Royals are going to blow it. I think they WILL win the division, and I think they have a pretty good chance to return to the World Series. I just think it's idiotic to suggest that ANY team that has a 5 game lead in July has it wrapped up because the chances are remote that they can be caught, especially when the ONLY thing the "analysis" is based upon is the records of the teams involved and the number of games left to play.
