You're probably talking about Rooney. It's pretty easy to tell who the 4 possible guys are:
Mike Shannon - old guy. Sounds old. Sounds drunk. Generally pretty funny but rarely informative. He's just pickled and fairly hilarious these days. Doesn't have the chops for true play by play anymore but is a nice addition as a color guy.
John Rooney - The standard, straight play by play guy. Yeah, he's dry but he has to be to work alongside Shannon. And unlike Hagan before him, he's actually interesting when he wants to be. Extremely informative, very knowledgeable. All told, he's as good as any of the newer baseball guys out there.
Ricky Horton - Extremely nasal voice; tough to listen to on the radio. That said, also very informative especially on the pitching side of the house. He reminds me a bit of when Orel Hershiser would do television. Good complementary piece but couldn't carry a call on his own.
Mike Claiborn - He's the black one. I hear him every few weeks. He's insanely forgettable. He tends to be a bit of a company mouthpiece for the most part. I feel like he's essentially the radio version of Al Hraboski but somehow even less interesting. He's just there. Doesn't hurt - doesn't help.
Oh, and I think Jay Randolph has shown up on occasion this year. If he's on your radio, just drive into a tree and save yourself the headache. Jay Randolph is the worst broadcaster in the history of broadcasters. He'd make an orgy of Playmates sound boring and would probably start calling tits elbows by the 5 minute mark. He is awful.
