Assume Holliday, Pham, Heyward with Piscotty at 1b and you have Adams and Grichuk for power bats off the bench. If you start Adams, then you could have either Pham (if he starts Heyward in CF with Piscotty in RF) or Grichuk. There are any number of combinations that you would have at least two power bats on the bench besides the Garcia/Kosma Cruz options. If Carpenter goes down in a catastrophe at 3B you can put Garcia at SS and move Peralta there in a pinch or vice versa. You don't need 2 deep at each position, and if Pham and Piscotty had not come on here the last month and a half you would have to keep Reynolds and probably Moss' worthless ass too. We have options that if you want to you don't have to take Reynolds. I doubt they leave him off, but I would. I think it is just as likely for Bourjos to get lucky against quality pitching as Reynolds and provides so much more that you could use at the back end of every game.
