More huge than it seems because they awarded Alex Smith a contract. They know he's the type of QB that needs everything around him to be good in order to succeed. He has issues. Has more now because this is year 2 with a crap OL. He's regressing from his first year in KC and it shows. This was by biggest concern going into the season. I had them at 7-9 with BAD Alex and SHIT OL. I had them at 11-5 with Good Alex and Good OL. A just "good enough" OL, which is the ceiling for the one currently assembled IMO, is total fail for a Qb like Alex Smith. If you're gonna roll with him, like the Chiefs made the decision to do, then you give him a good OL, cuz dude has ISSUES.
