If Ventura hits Wright on purpose, what's to stop one of the Mets from going inside on Perez? And what happens if he breaks his wrist? Then, not only have you lost this game, but you're likely ****ed for the rest of the series.

I understand the idea of actually not plunking a guy but the Mets set the tone from the start.
Of course, Ned's continual misuse of his pitchers and bullpen were the ultimate undoing, but having pissed off guys facing Syndergaard didn't help their at bats.
