I don't know what people expected in terms of logistical planning and preparation. I was impressed at how quickly they determined a route and could get stuff like the stage pulled together.
Plus, even if there had been some better planning nobody expected 1/4 of the metro area to come down. They probably could have put every port-a-potty in the region there and people would still have had to stand in line.
Personally my only regret is not having the foresight to go down to one of those labor-ready outfits and dispatched 100 dudes with backpack coolers and nat-light to sell for $5 a piece inside the crowd.
