A month ago, the Chiefs needed to win 9 of the last 10 to make the playoffs.
Now they need to win 5 of their last 6. (If they win 4 and finish 9-7 they could make it, but 9-7 has not been good enough in recent years...10 wins gets you in)
Every win increases their odds. They need to maintain and improve upon this level of play. I think the schedule breaks very favorably for them, and winning next week against Buffalo gives them another tiebreaker over a team fighting for a playoff spot.
I think next week against Buffalo will tell us a lot of how the season is going to end. If they play well and win, I think we finish strong. If Buffalo walks in and takes one....well, a typical Andy Reid week finish in KC could be a possibility.
